GeoCentral - Fossil Shark Teeth

Since sharks' skeletons are made of cartilage instead of bone, the only fossilized remains of ancient sharks are their teeth. The teeth grew in constantly to replace older teeth as they wore out. These real fossilized teeth are 5 to 7 million years old. There are 5 to 10 real fossilized shark teeth in each clear plastic hinged box. Teeth are 1/4 inch to 1 inch long.
